Rob Tuck

Rob Tuck has been a lifelong comic book lover. After 35 years of voraciously reading the stories of Spiderman, Daredevil, and others, he opened Friar Tuck’s Comics & Collectibles in November at 310 Harvard Street in Coolidge Corner to share the wealth with others.

“You get to a point where the collection has a mind of its own, and it kind of got too big,” says Tuck. “I opened the shop to share. I love having people come in and be inspired by the walls.”

“This store is so well organized and easy to navigate and the people really know their comics. They have a lot of really cool unique and rare stuff! A hidden gem in Boston. They are having a grand opening sale from now until the new year. Everything is 20% off! We got a really reasonably priced Pokémon lunchbox while we were there today.”

“I love going to Friar Tuck’s. The set up inside is amazing and the owner is so nice!! He gives free magic cards when you buy comics. There’s a variety of collectible and new comics. I’ve made this my main comic book shop and look forward to stopping by every Wednesday or so. Plus I find he always has cool variants too!”

“Phenomenal experience, really cool space with decades worth of memorabilia covering every inch of the store. The owner was incredible helpful and gave me a tour of the shop. When I mentioned I heard there was a Godzilla X Justice League comic out he found every issue they had in stock. Had a lot of rare and hard to find OOP books and variants. The employee at the desk chatted to me about card games and offered a ordering service for any new comics I might want in the future.”
